Associate Pastor

Michael is a product of Trinity in Ruston, and his story has come full circle. Michael was born in Ruston and was baptized, confirmed, and commissioned for ministry through Trinity Methodist Church. After years of other career interests, he began to discern a call into pastoral ministry, which led him into the mission field.

From 2012-2016, Michael served as a missionary to the Khmer people of Cambodia, where he met his wife, Lida. They now have three wonderful children. These early years of ministry confirmed and strengthened his passion for discipleship, missions, and evangelism. His educational journey would lead him to discover and develop a passion for the work and ministry of John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church.

Michael graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in English. He received his Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Wesleyan Studies from Saint Paul School of Theology in Leawood, Ks. While in seminary, Michael had the humbling opportunity to pastor a local church that provided an invaluable first-hand experience for leading a congregation. Michael is currently an Elder with the Global Methodist Church, and he is excited to be back at Trinity to serve a church that has already given him so much support on his faith journey.
