Becoming More Emotionally and Spiritually Mature Leaders Saturday, February 22 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. – Youth Room Dear Church Family, On Saturday, February 22 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, I will be leading a leadership training event designed to equip us with some tools and skills to better manage our anxiety, our differences and become more spiritually mature leaders. The skills we learn will be directly transferable to our homes, families, work and church. Every person serving in a leadership position in the church will be required to attend. January 29 come take in the new exhibit Create A Beautiful Life featuring artists from the Holy Angels special needs program located locally in Shreveport. Lunch will follow. We leave at 9:00 a.m. Entry into the Norton is free. Gas is $5.00 per person.
This 12 week study will delve into the New Testament, looking at themes, important facts, and discipleship. Led by three amazing teachers at Trinity, this study is great for those new to studying scripture as well as those who have been readers of the Bible for years. Date and time of class TBD, but we will begin in January. Workbooks are $17.
The loss of a loved one can have a significant impact for several years. You don’t need to go through it alone. Trinity’s own Dr. Latoya Pierce will lead an 8-week support group focused on grief, loss, and bereavement on Thursdays beginning January 23 at 6:30 p.m. in room 231. We are so excited to share that our college ministry is planning a mission trip for May 24-30, 2020 to the Navajo Nation. This is a great opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Cost of the trip is $515 with a $100 deposit due by January 19, 2020. We will be doing some fundraisers to help with the cost of the trip, so don’t let money keep you from coming!
