Haley is a recent Master of Divinity graduate from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and extremely excited to start at Trinity United Methodist Church. Her grandfather, Pastor Autrey Sirmon, was a Methodist minister for 50 years and studied at the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. One of Haley’s favorite pastimes is to read through her grandfather’s sermon notes and school papers. She hopes to continue his legacy in spreading the gospel and leading others to find their identity in Jesus Christ.

Haley grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and is the youngest of 5 children. All of her closest friends growing up still enjoy going on the lake and making any excuse to spend time together. After high school, she attended the Sally McDonnel Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi. While attending college, she studied abroad in Australia, participated in the Disney College Program, and enjoyed working in the Office of Admissions. She graduated with cum laude honors and then served in the AmeriCorps and worked for Ole Miss before heading to seminary.

While attending seminary in Jacksonville, Florida, she worked at a gym called Orangetheory Fitness and still loves to coach individuals or sports teams. Haley likes to study Hebrew and Greek and also read sappy romance novels. She enjoys running, climbing trees, and traveling. She lived in a monastery in Ireland for a month where her week of silence only lasted for one day. But, honestly, that was very impressive for her. Haley’s favorite color is green, and her favorite snack is Oreos and milk.Haley loves to teach the scriptures and looks forward to finding a strong community in Ruston, Louisiana. Her vision for the youth at Trinity United Methodist is that they be a group of teens that are set apart by their love of Jesus. She hopes that she can help teach youth to have a strong identity in Christ and seek to make life on earth as it is in heaven.
