The Day of Pentecost is the fiftieth and last day of the Easter Season, when the Church received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The color, red represents the flame of the Holy Spirit. The seven red candles represent the gifts of the Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.
