Christmas is the time of year we want to honor the gift that is the Christ child by giving His light and hope to others. Volunteers and special financial donations are needed to support these Christmas opportunities. If you can help, mark donations for the specific outreach listed or simply “Christmas Outreach” beginning now.

ANGEL TREE – Out Angel Tree families will be supplied by the Junior Auxiliary of Ruston and include children and their siblings from Ruston Elementary School and Head Start. Beginning November 23 you can choose choose a name from the tree. You shop for their requests, wrap, and return the gifts to Trinity by December 10. A $75 limit is encouraged unless shopping for all children in one family. Let us bring joy this Christmas to these local families.

CHRISTMAS JOY FOR FOSTER KIDS – Trinity is going to give each child in Lincoln Parish foster care a new bike for Christmas. We are asking each family to consider donating the cost of one bike, tricycle, or riding toy. Bikes range in cost from $40 to $120 depending on the age of the child. If a child has received a bike recently, we will provide a gift for them. A bike assembly party will take place December 7 at 4 PM in the gym.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS STORE – The Community Christmas Store is a points-based Christmas shopping experience for low-income families designed to maintain dignity. You can serve all weekend long, but Trinity will serve together December 11, 4-6 PM when the Boys & Girls Club comes. We need help serving dinner, wrapping gifts, playing games, crafting, and more.

LIFE CHOICES TREE – Ruston’s local pregnancy center has a wonderful store for parents to shop in using points they earn from attending classes. Take an ornament off the tree and purchase the item requested. Return the item to the bins next to the tree. Trees will be out beginning Sunday, December 21.
