All moms of children and youth are invited for a special Mother’s Day Celebration on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall! Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, uplifting conversation, and a powerful word of encouragement from our guest speaker, Gwen Dingler, as she shares about the Godly calling of motherhood. Your kids will join us for the last 15 minutes to help celebrate YOU!
Saturday May 17th at 7pm, join us as we celebrate our Confirmation Class in the Trinity Center. This is a momentous occasion for our confirmands and our church. We encourage all to attend this meaningful service. Then join us the next morning (May 18th) as they officially join the church as members of Trinity Methodist Church.
Tickets are being sold between our two worship services for a Hamburger Fundraiser benefiting 5 Loaves:2 Fish Ministry. This ministry feeds the hungry in Lincoln Parish twice a month. Tickets are $10 each. The lunch is May 8, 11am-1pm in the First Baptist Ruston parking lot on W. Texas Street.
Preston Parker will present a sophomore recital featuring a collection of classical piano works on Friday, May 2nd at 7pm in the Recital Hall at Louisiana Tech University. The program will include selections by Beethoven, MacDowell, Chopin, Liszt and Ravel. Also featured will be the piano concerto from Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” accompanied by Dee Alexander.
Important Update from the Staff-Parish Relations Committee Earlier this year, Pastor Michael Cloud accepted an appointment as Senior Pastor at Covenant Methodist Church in Lafayette. He shared this news with our Staff-Parish Relations Committee, and the committee started to think about what comes next for Trinity. Because of our recent affiliation with the Global Methodist Church (GMC), the process for selecting a new pastor is different from what many of us experienced under the United Methodist Church. The next quarterly gathering of Believers’ Business Forum will be held Tuesday, May 13th at 11:30 am with guest speaker Andrew Mulford, founder and CEO of several executive coaching and discipleship organizations headquartered in Shreveport. Cost to attend is $15 and includes lunch.

Trinity will be celebrating Graduating High School Seniors Sunday, April 27 during the worship services. All seniors will be recognized during the 9:00 a.m. Traditional Service and 11:00 a.m. Refuge Service. Seniors and their families are invited to a breakfast at 10:00 a.m. in the youth area.
